Narrative
VALDOSTA, GA – One person went to the hospital Tuesday following a three-vehicle crash in central Lowndes County.
The incident occurred around 11:54 a.m. on the southbound side of I-75 near mile marker 17, which is just south of Lowndes High School and Martin Stadium.
Police say that a southbound vehicle rear-ended another vehicle, causing a chain-reaction crash with a third vehicle.
The collision caused the first vehicle to catch fire, and the driver of the first vehicle went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
No other injuries have been reported thus far in connection to the crash.
