FAIRBURN, GA – A Fairburn Police officer was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by another motorist on I-85 South Wednesday. The collision happened when the police officer was investigating another crash. When he got out of his police cruiser, he was struck by another driver who failed to move over a lane. It is unclear if the other motorist will be charged. The officer is in stable condition. Officials are examining the details of this crash and have not provided additional information.
