Narrative
PORT WENTWORTH, GA – An adult male and two juveniles were hurt Friday in a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus in southeast Effingham County.
The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 21 between Old Augusta Road South and Moore Road, which is on the far north side of Port Wentworth. This is about 7 miles northwest of Savannah.
Police say that a VW Jetta rear-ended a school bus carrying two students from Savannah Christian Prep School.
Medics transported the driver of the Jetta to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The two students on the bus sustained non-critical injuries.
