PUTNAM COUNTY, GA – A two-car crash claimed the life of a 26-year-old man near Eatonton Tuesday.
The collision occurred after 8 am at Harmony Road & Scott Road Northeast, 13 WMAZ reported.
A 2011 Kia Optima crossed the centerline and collided with a 2009 BMW 335.
The driver of the 2009 BMW 335 was identified as Demarkeo Lanard Towles, 26, from Eatonton.
Towles was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries.
The driver of the 2011 Kia Optima was identified as 26-year-old Jermaine Mathis, also from Eatonton.
Mathis was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
